Hello again dear friends. It has been a little while since I have posted an update. My how time flies!! Here we are in March already! The month has indeed come in like a lion so we will anticipate it leaving like a lamb. Warmer temps will be welcome indeed. But for now...it is frigid and windy and the snow continues to drift over the roads here in Gordonville. We cancelled the spiritual gifting and service assesment meeting this past monday due to the weather and we will be rescheduling very soon. If you are hoping to attend please give me any feedback you may have as to a good time for this meeting.
We enjoyed a wonderful time of fellowship with missionary Rebecca Zerbrick this past Sunday. If you missed any of the services please be sure to listen to them by clicking here and selecting Sundays date 3/01/09. She is a young lady with a true heart for God and her zeal should inspire you! Sunday evening was a question and answer session with her and we learned a lot about the countries she will be ministering in.
Our quiz team competed on Sunday night at New Danville Mennonite church. They lost the first two matches and then had a decisive victory in the third match. You can check out their standings by clicking on the links tab on the left of the page and then selecting the ACC quizzing link to pull up that home page.
Please continue to pray for Pastor Steve Canapp and his wife Debbie as they get closer to moving to the area and joining the fellowship here. Steve's last official day as pastor at Grace Bible in Fallston, MD is this week. They anticipate worshipping with us on the 15th and then on the 16th Steve will fly out to the Phillipines to help Christina build her house in the jungle among the Ga' Dang tribe. He anticipates returning the first week of April. Pray for Christina and her entire mission team as they prepare to begin their work there in the village.
I will be posting a new By the Book here on the site shortly. Thanks to all of you who commented on the first posting. I look forward to some more discussion on a wide variety of topics going forward. May God continue to bless you and others through you- Let His light shine in Your Life !!!
