Hi Pastor Sam,

How is it going in snowy PA?  We heard of the tornado in your area, we trust your members are doing OK.  May God bless as your bring His word to Lancaster County.

Jenn & I are doing fine in Bamako, busy as usual.  We feel safe in spite of the attacks in past months: God is with us and the folk sure need Jesus.  We were able to ordain 15 Malinke pastors recently, So we see the slow progress of the Malian church, too. We have a huge shipment of medical supplies here right now, and my job has been to process it thru customs, move the container to our clinic site, and now sort & divide it up to five Christian clinics.  Want to help?

God bless,

Jimbo

PS: it would be nice to know if someone reads this.  Please confirm the email on this web site.

DELBERT says...
what is your position regarding calvinism?

Hi Delbert~ We believe in the Sovreingty of God and in the free moral agency of mankind. These are not mutually exclusive truths, but are instead complementary truths found in God's Word that make up the great mystery of the Gospel. Great Question.

We met Pastor Sam and his wonderful family, Camila, Katie, Abbie, Sterling, and Tierce, this weekend in Duncansville, PA. They were an inspiration to us and our daughter, Bryanna (especially how Katie rubbed Bry's finger as Pastor Sam prayed for her. How sweet and they are raising their children in the ways of the Lord).. They are true servants of God. We had a Sunday sermon poolside and the children gospel singing was moving. Just a little about ourselves....we were in Duncansville visiting our daughter, Bry, as she is in her summer courses at Saint Francis University to become a Physicians Assistant. This is going to sound weird and it is so going against my "being" but I know that God was working today and yesterday and Pastor Sam was put in our path for some reason. I must say that I was against my daughter, Bry, moving far away from me (she is a type 1 juvenile diabetic and all.....ha) But she has been saying that she wants to move to Lancaster and I know that I need to let God work in this....but there was a "God thing" this weekend. I believe I found a church family that she can go to when she comes down there for a clinical rotation (and possibly a start to live). It does a mother/father's heart good to know that she knows Christian people in all areas. I just want you to know that God is good! I am thankful for the people that are put in our paths.......It gives me hope in this fallin' world. Your church has a keeper :)

Pastor Sam, We were the couple that had come to your service this past Sunday (2/19), we stayed at the Eby Bed and Breakfast and had the chance to come in and hear your sermon on Sunday morning. I wanted to thank you and your congregation for taking us in and making us feel so welcome. I enjoyed the sermon and look forward to hearing you again!

Really appreciated the time with Dr. Calkins these past two days. Have him again and advertise more so others can hear what he has to say about creation and the Scriptures. It's a much needed message for the church at large today.
